SACM Learning Academy, Palladam ("SACM", "we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit our website, contact us or study with us, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

1.Information we collect

• Enquiry details: your name, phone number, email address, the course you are interested in and any message you send us through our website forms, live chat or WhatsApp.
• Admission details: if you enrol, details such as your date of birth, address, educational qualifications, ID proof, photograph and payment records.
• Course records: attendance, assessment and mock test results, and certificates issued.
• Question bank purchases: if you buy a question bank, we keep your name, mobile number, email address, the amount and payment reference, and which question banks we sent you. Your name and mobile number are printed on every page of the files we send.
• Student portal: if SACM gives you a student account, we keep your name, mobile number, email address, your batch and password (stored only in a scrambled form that nobody at SACM can read), the exams you can take, your answers, scores, time spent, start and submit times, when you log in and out, and how many times you left the exam page during an exam. We also keep your class attendance (present, late, absent or excused for each class, and when you checked in with a class code); you can see it in the portal, and if it falls below 75% or you miss 3 classes in a row we email you and our office. To protect accounts, we also note the connection (IP) address used for each login.
• Placement details: your resume and the interviews and job offers you receive through our placement support.
• Basic technical data: like most websites, the services that host and run our site may record your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit.

2.How we use your information

• To reply to your enquiry and call you back about courses, fees and batch dates.
• To manage your admission, fees, classes, assessments and certificates.
• To run the online exams in our student portal: to mark them, show you your scores and (once your trainer releases them) the correct answers, email your score to you and a summary to SACM, and help your trainer see which topics need more practice.
• To send you updates about your classes, exams and placement opportunities.
• To provide placement support, including sharing your profile with hiring companies.
• To keep records required by law and to improve our courses and website.

We only contact you about SACM courses and services. We do not sell your information or use it for unrelated advertising.

3.Services that help us run this website

We use a few trusted third-party services. They receive only the information needed to do their job:

4.When we share information

• Employers: for placement support, we share your resume and relevant course details with hiring companies. We do this only for students taking part in placement support, and you can ask us to stop at any time.
• Certification bodies: if you ask us to help with exam booking or renewal (for example AAPC), we share the details needed for that.
• Legal reasons: when the law, a court or a government authority requires it.

5.How long we keep information

We keep enquiry details for up to 2 years so we can follow up on future batches, unless you ask us to delete them sooner. Student admission and certificate records are kept for as long as needed to verify your training and to meet legal and accounting requirements.

Student portal accounts, with their exam answers, results, attendance and login records, are deleted automatically 6 months after the student's batch ends. You can ask us to delete yours sooner. Your trainer may keep a copy of your marks with your course records.

6.How we protect your information

Access to student and enquiry records is limited to SACM staff who need it for their work. Our website uses secure (HTTPS) connections, and the services we use apply their own security measures. No system is completely secure, but we take reasonable care to prevent loss or misuse of your information.

In the student portal, passwords are stored only in a scrambled form, logins are locked for a while after repeated wrong passwords, students can log in only between their batch's start and end dates, and exams are marked on our server, so the correct answers only reach a student's own review of an exam they have submitted.

7.Your rights and choices

In line with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can:

• ask what personal information we hold about you;
• ask us to correct or update it;
• ask us to delete it, where we are not required to keep it;
• withdraw your consent to being contacted, for example by replying "STOP" or asking our office.

8.Cookies

Our website does not use advertising cookies. The live chat and maps services may store small cookies or similar data in your browser so that they work properly, for example to keep a chat conversation open between pages. You can clear or block these in your browser settings.

The student portal uses one essential cookie that keeps a student logged in. It is removed when they log out (or after 3 hours without use), and it is not used for tracking.

9.Students under 18

Our courses are intended for graduates and adults. If a student under 18 enquires or enrols, we ask for a parent's or guardian's consent.

10.Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our services or the law change. The latest version will always be on this page with its "last updated" date.
